Once we receive your application, we will contact you to set up a family meeting where we go over the following:

Discuss your family's specific needs.
Sign and go over Client/Agency Referral Agreement.
Pay the $35.00 annual registration fee.
Review sitter profiles.
Schedule any sitters needed at this time.

Requesting a Sitter
When requesting a sitter, we ask that you give While You're Out, LLC a notice of at least 5 days. Requests made with fewer than 5 days notice are often difficult to fill. We do not however discourage last minute requests. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request, but remember that we are unable to make guarantees with any sitter requests.
Requests made after 6pm will be considered as requests made on the following day whether they come in via email or by phone.  Requests that come in at 6pm or later on Friday will be considered as a request coming in on the following Monday.  For all requests coming in with 48 hours notice or less, the referral fee will increase to $15.

Sitter Screening Process
All prospective sitters fill out our extensive Sitter Application, and the application is reviewed by the owner of While You're Out, LLC. If the application meets our qualifications, a preliminary phone interview is conducted. If satisfied with the preliminary phone interview, a personal interview follows. After the personal interview, we begin verification of personal and professional references, previous work experience, and child care references, as well as a criminal background check and Department of Motor Vehicles record check. We also require that all sitters have current auto insurance and provide documentation proving so.
All sitters referred by While You're Out, LLC are required to be CPR certified. Copies of certifications are kept on file in the babysitter's profile.
Detailed sitter profiles consisting of previous work experience, letters of recommendation, copies of credentials and/or certifications, and personal interview questions and answers, are prepared for the client to review at the initial meeting.
All aspects of the screening process are conducted by the owner and operator of While You're Out, LLC, Cheri Ress.
