Service Fees
NOTE: ALL registered families must have a credit card on file prior to their first referral.
 Annual Registration Fee:
An annual registration fee of $79.00 is required to use the referral service. This fee helps to cover the cost of time and money spent conducting and maintaining the screening and interviewing process, including: criminal background checks, vehicle record checks, and verification of credential certifications.
Referral Fee:
A referral fee of $10.00 is required each time a sitter is requested and confirmed. Once you submit your sitter request via our on-line request form and you receive the email confirmation for your sitter, your credit card will be charged the $10 referral fee. Your credit card will be charged as early as the day of your confirmation and no later than the week of your sitting job. Once we have confirmed your sitter via email, your card will be charged even if you cancel because all work involved in finding your sitter has been completed at time of confirmation. The referral fee covers the time spent reviewing sitter applications and the interview process. It also helps to cover the time spent searching our sitter profiles to find the sitter that is most suitable for your family and then contacting that particular sitter to see is she is available.
NOTE: Fees for ALL requests received with less than 48 hours' notice will increase from $10 to $15.
Cancellation Fee:
If you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice a $10 agency cancellation fee will be charged to your on-file credit card. If you have a package and you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, it will count as a used referral.
Referral Fee Packages:
You can also purchase referral packages for a varying number of referrals. These packages are pre-pay ONLY. Your credit card will be charged no sooner than the day of your confirmation and no later than the last day of the month. You will be notified by email when your referral package is running low. Purchasing a package enables you to buy referrals at a discounted rate. Once you near the end of your referral package, you will be contacted to see if you would like to purchase an additional package. When the package is used completely, you will receive a statement confirming the dates that you had a sitter and the sitter’s name. As with any request, there is no guarantee that the request can be filled. If you have a package and you request a sitter with less than 48 hours' notice, $5 will be added to your on-file credit card for that specific date and noted on the printout that you will receive when your package has been used in full. Referral fee packages have no expiration date.
PACKAGE A: Five referrals for $45.00
PACKAGE B: Fifteen referrals for $130.00
PACKAGE C: Twenty-five referrals for $215.00
Suggested Babysitter Rates
One-Two children: $10.00 per hour
Three children: $11.00 an hour
Four children: $12.00 an hour
Families are responsible for paying sitters their hourly rate directly, upon completion of sitting job. Be advised that there is a three-hour minimum for all sitting jobs. Families do not have to use three full hours, but the sitters will still charge for three hours' of pay.
Overnight Referrals:
While You’re Out, LLC can also refer sitters for overnights and extended stays whether it is at your home or on vacation with you. The sitter’s rate for extended stays and vacations is to be negotiated between the family and the sitter. The suggested rate of pay for overnights is a flat rate of $50 for eight hours of sleep time and hourly after that. Our referral fee for overnight stays is $15 per night stayed in client’s home. Please call our office for placement fees for our rates on vacation sitters and extended stays.
Summer Sitter Placement:
A sitter placement can be made for the months of June, July, and August as determined by you the family. A summer placement can be filled by one sitter or shared between two sitters. A $50 non-refundable initial search fee is due with a Summer Sitter Placement request and completed on-line application. For currently registered families of While You're Out Babysitting, the initial search fee is reduced to $25. Once a sitter is placed and hired by the family, the Summer Sitter Placement Fee of $300 is due prior to the sitter’s first day of work. All sitter wages, responsibilities, and duties are to be negotiated between the family and sitter.
Holidays:
The sitters classify the following days as holidays and will require time-and-a-half pay for the following days:
• New Year's Eve
• New Year's Day
• Valentine's Day
• Easter
• Memorial Day
• Fourth of July
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day
NOTE: When you request a sitter on any of the above holidays, the referral fee increases to $20 per request/referral. Pre-paid referrals from any package can not be used for holiday requests. When you request a sitter on any of the above holidays, your on-file credit card will be charged the $20 referral fee at time of email confirmation.
Refer a Friend to While You're Out, LLC…
Refer a friend to While You're Out Babysitting, LLC.... If they become a registered user, you will receive a referral fee credit. For every friend that you refer who becomes a registered user of our services, you will receive a free referral.
